With the recent events surrounding the COVID pandemic, it was important for the Slam organizers to discuss how this year’s Slam event could be affected.
After much discussion with our event partners and the City of Spokane, it became clear to us that holding the Slam during a time of heightened health concerns would not be responsible.
As always, our biggest concern is the safety and well being of all our Slammers, and so while it was a difficult decision, we have decided to reschedule the Slam for a later date, in hopes that we will kick-off our tenth year of the Slam under much better conditions.
So, the Kick-Off event for the 2020 Slam is now set for Friday, April 17th at KSPS studios. As always, the doors will be open at 6:30pm, and as always, we are going to gather some of the most creative individuals in Spokane to go out and do something awesome. The screening event for the Top 15 finalists at the Bing Crosby Theater will also be re-scheduled to a new date, so please stay tuned for an update on that as well.
We hope that we see the same continued level of support from all of you in April, and we cannot wait to get Slammin’. Please be sure to share this post with those who you know who are planning to participate in the Slam.
Stay healthy and stay awesome,
– The Slam Organizers
